However even with the gentleness she possessed, she will turn and can be ruthless, like the wind with not so much as a moments notice. She is loyal to her squad and has shown this many a time when confronting the captains of others squad at one time or another

Human Arc
When Suki was known as Chouun Kanu, She was a servant by her own wish to Gentoku Housen. During this time she would stand within the shadows, watching over her general as he would protect the land known as Seito from the forces of Nanyo, kyosho and Gogun. In a way Kanu was one of two aces in his sleeve on the battlefield. even though Kanu served and protected Gentoku from enemy waves, her power would not have been strong if her ally Unchou Shiyuu was not there. Both of them were the greatest warriors Seito had to offer.
However even though they are the best of the best, both of them wish for Gentoku to love them. both finding out about this, they were both hurt and shocked to the point that they had to deal with it.
They both clashed for hours on end, Kanu with her katana and shiryuu with her spear. At the very end they both killed each other. With the death of the two warriors, Seito fell and their souls traveled the world with their chains broken.
Long had they wandered until a man with a mask walked up to them saying "warriors of a time since past, it is time you headed to soul society". With a touch of his zanpakuto, their souls were at peace... For now
Soul Society arc
The moment that Suki was born under the noble Izuna into the soul society, there was already problems. As the infant was born immediately a Zanpakutou was formed beside the bed. It was Suki's, at a young age. The bond she had with her battle sister was beyond that of death and only one was born but held two souls in her frail body. The newly appointed Squad 0 captain was requested to assist with this matter. He took the blade and hid it from the baby. She needed to learn the how to use one before she can use her own.
As Suki grew older, She was found to be blind. She was unable to walk around the place without bumping into others or into things. She was always needing a servant to help them, and as such she was never cruel to them, for they were her eyes in matters. One day she was scribbling on pages with some charcoal and paper one of the servants had brought. When the writing implement was dropped, instinctively they went to return it to Suki, but much to their surprise, The blind girl not only picked up the charcoal in her first attempt but even face the direction of the piece. To the servant's account on this, Suki saw where it went, it was as though she could see. When Suki faced the servant this was confirmed, however her eyes were definitely not the eyes of a shinigami or an ordinary soul. There were powerful, dragonic eyes.
When she was old enough, Suki was thought how to use a blade by her father. This proved difficult, due to her blindness. However over time the skill she had improved. When they trained, the father wore a blindfold so her daughter was not at a disadvantage. Her strikes began to get stronger, her reactions were faster. Soon When her father fought her with the blindfold he found himself being pushed back by the girl he had trained, though he restrained his power.
However this training was not to last. Her father was a captain after all. And in doing so, his duty was to soul society and to the Gotei 13. When news came of his death, it was a blow to the Izuna clan and to Suki. without her father she was unable to better her abilities. None of the guards dared not fight or train her lest they harmed the woman and be brought in for assault.
News was brought to Daiseisho about Suki's father's death, and when he came to her he continued the training. As they trained in Daiseisho's inner world, a temporally dense world, she was feeling a stronger feeling, much like when she was a little girl with the graphite. she was able to push back Daiseisho occasionally. She spent months if not years in that world, she never aged nor did she seem to fatigue in this world almost like she was as energetic as when she first entered the world. She spent a total of 387 years training, and mastering her techniques. Daiseisho then handed her back the zanpakutou that was formed at her birth. holding onto for the first time caused the formation of her spirit, her best friend from her previous life
Suki was the once in a lifetime wielder of a power that holds a bond so strong that it does not need a medium of a blade to hold it. The power is Soul Shifting, having two souls merging as one to be stronger then any who could hope to when wielding a zanpakutou.
At the end of the time in Daiseisho's inner world, she began to master her bankai and even grow in strength, showing how terrifying her true power was. It was scary, enough to become stronger then that of a captain. this strength lead to Otari Hanzo placing two limiters on Suki. One to hinder Suki from using her true bankai unless Soul Society was in danger, in it's place a substitute bankai was made. The second was to limit her strength to 10% of it's maximum. Only then will the might of Princess Izuna be unleashed.
As she returned back to soul society, not even a day has passed, her reiatsu slightly higher then normal despite the limiters in place. When she attended the Academy, she advanced through the classes with perfect results. In Kido practice she was able to pick up techniques like they were second nature to her while in the kendo classes she was able to defeat any and all opponents she faced. A true prodigy that no-one knew her story. She finished the academy in 2 years and was nicknamed "The Untouchable Queen". She was Immediately put up for as a candidate for the Squad 13 captain, however she declined.
She was great, and she was powerful, but she will not forget how she was assisted when she was younger. She wish to show that despite being a woman of status, and of power, she will not used them to lead or command others. After much persuasion she was appointed as Vice Captain of Squad One. There, she is at peace with a captain she will forever be loyal to, seeing to matters her captain may be too shy in.
Many years later she was was the unanimous candidate and chosen to be the captain of first division.

Terms of Usage: Passively active
Description: despite it being a blunt looking shikai, when it contacts anything with the blade edge, it will cause an enormous pulse that is localised along a very fine line. the cause of it will make bones fracture or break, walls shatter and some kido rendered useless
Downside: with her shikai being made of wood it is fragile. if it is struck by the side of the back, or a fire kido hits it then it will revert back to the sealed form for 5 turns

Terms of Usage:holding onto the spear
Description: as a storm rages overhead, thunder begins to crack as suki launches herself into the storm cloud. she then comes out from the cloud with a dragon aura surrounding her. She then fires the spear down as the dragon goes after it, causing widespread damage.
Downside: for the next 3 turns Suki is weakened, and after the 3 posts it requires a 5 turn cooldown.
