No Place like Paris!

It was a beautiful night in Paris, the monuments were a light by the various lights at the bases and the sky was clear of any clouds. One could look up into the sky and count the various stars and probably never finish such a task. Constellations were visible despite the amount of light in the city below but the more interesting thing with Paris tonight was an individual. He was a shinigami or at least an individual who was trained to become a shinigami. He had never once joined a squad, he had pretty much disappeared under the radar once the academy had ended. People had been searching for him for some time but he had decided to take up an interesting job that he was offered. His eyes shifted towards the town below, his green slitted eyes observing the activity below from a tall building which allowed him to view a good portion of the city. His red hair shifted in the cool breeze that ran through the air and as far as he was concerned, no one could see him. His hand slowly rose, green nail polished fingers grabbed his hat and adjusted it. His tail swaying behind him as he gave a toothy grin to the city.

"The living world! It's been such a long time since I last saw ya. It seems things have gone pretty well." He said, speaking to no one as his claymore strapped to his back shimmered softly in the moonlight rays. His head rolled over his shoulders, the soft fur collar of his jacket tickling his skin as he smiled more. "I missed this place so much!" He said, stretching his arms as he slowly stood up, his ankle long jacket swaying in the breeze as he leaned back to stretch his back. "After all that training I'm able to see ya for once." He said, his hand zipping up the second jacket beneath his trench coat like one above and shifted a green strap to his traveling kit. "Hopefully no one bothers my reunion with ya!"

A golden haired man kept a steady walk through the cloudless night along the streets of Paris. The red orbs he called eyes seemed fierce opposed to his normal shinigami attire, one could only assume to blame his Gigai for this added effect. He held his hands in his pockets as he took in a deep breath and soon exhaled.

It was slowly getting down to the wire and things were starting to shape up but having a few other followers never hurt anyone and paris was a odd spot but it was a spot.

The cat like individual slowly lowered, crouching as he looked to the street below him which had a few humans walking up and down the sidewalks. His black tail continued to lightly sway behind him as he retained his sharp toothed smile. "Everything seems different. Everything feels so much more technological." He said, his green eyes looking around as he jumped from the roof, reaching out as he landed on the side of another building which he grabbed onto a ledge. His green eyes continued to look down from above while the slits in his eyes seemed to grow sharper as he watched everything. His hand tapped his side as he pulled his hat down with his free hand, grabbing the green shades which he pulled down over his eyes. "Guess I should explore a little more... Stretch my limbs." He said, jumping from the side of the building back to the other as he grabbed ledges as he jumped building to building. Slowly he made his way down to the ground rather than just jumping straight to the ground.

Lee continued on his stroll through the city. It was nice and it was a possibly location for his plans but then again, the current location he had it set at just had so many more advantages to it. He came to a stop as he blinked several times before raising his head up to look upward at the buildings. He thought he caught sight of something and for a moment, he thought it was a bird...

But after watching what ever it was, it was clear that it was anything but. He continued forward as he aimed to get in the area where the creature would land.

Don looked back and forth, his fingers locked on the wall as he caught himself and would push off into a jump to the other wall. He created no noise, nothing to alert humans to the presence of something that couldn't be seen. He continued his descent until he reached the ground which his boots created a soft click against the sidewalk. "That was fun." He said, smiling to himself as he slipped his hands into his pockets and rolled his shoulders. His tail flicked behind him as he began to walk with the humans, his cat eared hat bobbing with every step. He was a an average height, allowing him to blend in with the other humans aside from his strange appearance and his black cat tail. He hadn't realized that some one was trying to get to him.

Lee slowly let himself drift through the crowds that walked the streets. He would turn himself to the side in order to slide passed those whom he thought to have been too slow. The person in question had already jumped into the crowd and was starting to get lost...if wasn't for the pair of ears that seemed to stand just a bit higher than the normal head.

Lee let himself continue forward as he moved through the crowd. He would have to think of something to say in order to catch the neko's attention and something to keep it.

Don moved, he didn't move in the same speed with the crowd as he would merely shift his body to make it through small gaps between people. He wasn't heading anywhere in particular as he was merely exploring the area due to just coming back after so long being dead. His tail swayed, brushing up against some one's arm who shivered and stopped causing a slight pile up behind him. "Let's see..." He said, leaping from the crowd onto the building to his right which he began to run along, trying to get passed the crowd. He certainly wasn't going to be an easy catch for Lee to get to. He was practically incapable of maintaining a defined pace or staying in one place. Lee would need to work to get a word in with the neko shinigami.

Lee continued forward but he soon found that heading forward was growing more and more difficult. He looked around as the crowd was in a standstill of sorts. He then turned his attention at the now fleeing shinigami. Lee assumed that him being in a Gigai, that it would shield his spiritual pressure but this one must have gotten something from him and was aiming to get away.

Lee looked around as he decided to try another route. He pushed his way toward the street and made it over the chain linked guard that separated the street and sidewalk. After jumping over it, he started running along the side of the road in an attempt to catch up with the neko with his new found path.

Don made his way along the side of the building, his green eyes looking ahead from underneath his green shades as he moved with diligence. He was trained, he wasn't just some ordinary out of the academy shinigami, no he was slightly stronger than them. He was sure that if he tried for a squad he could make the Vice-Captain rank easily and he had even been commented on in the academy. No one knew why he was as he was but was definitely skilled, especially in keeping away from people without realizing it. "The air feels so nice...." Don said, enjoying the air flow through his red hair as he jumped from the building down onto the now more clear sidewalk which he began to run on. He created a breeze which caught the attention of some people as the breeze he created was slightly more stronger than the light on that nature was making. "Ah... There's a good spot to get a good view of this place." He said, looking to his new target, the Eiffel Tower.

Lee kept his attention on the one thing that kept his attention of the man, The tail. He kept it in his sights as he continued to run along the side of the road, a few cars slowing down as he passed them. He watched as the man jumped down and started running on the ground once more.

Lee looked forward as he was heading straight for a parked car. He quickly jumped over the chain once more as there was just a bit more space now. But once again, the people were starting to stop from the wind. He just let himself push forward, pushing passed a few individuals and possibly pushing some to the ground. He had to make sure to keep up with the man for the time being.

Don merely chuckled to himself, speeding through people as he leaned down closer to the ground, his torso becoming parallel with the ground. His arms stuck out behind him as he ran, weaving through people with little worry as he got people to stop every once in a while. He was making a little bit of a commotion with the humans but he kept moving either way. He hadn't realized yet that he was being followed as he was busy trying to reach the tower that he saw. Eventually he was at the base, quickly he began to run up the side of it, soon enough stopping as he began to swing from bar to bar on the outside. If Lee could keep up, it would have been a better idea to just take the elevator than trying his path. He seemed willing to take the cheaper way to the tip top.

Lee continued in his chase after the neko man. It was starting to become a full fledged cop-and-robber sort of run out. He was trying to keep the pushing people to the side at a minimum. He finally let himself slow down to a light jog and then slid to a halt as he looked up as the shinigami had taken the quicker way up. Lee looked around as he was starting to tire from the chase.

He looked to the sides and then toward the elevator. He glared as he then looked up and then thought about it. If he had to go to the top only for the neko to decide to run off while he was trapped in an elevator. He reached into pocket and pulled out a necklace with a coffin attached to its bottom.

He raised it up as he raised it up and pressed the center of the coffin and released it. It suddenly hit the ground and poofed and a full fledged coffin stood in front of him, the door slowly opening. The coffin itself was not seen by the eyes of humans but as he walked into the coffin and the door closed. As it opened once more, Lee still stood there unchanged and walked out of the coffin but still inside was another Lee whom was dressed in his Shinigami garb.

The Gigai slowly turned around to face the shinigami version of himself. Lee walked from the coffin and turned toward the tower to try and find the man. The Gigai reached down and pulled on the necklace as the coffin turned into its normal necklace appearance.

Don was care free at this point, no longer concerned with his earthly binds as he swung from metal bar to metal bar of the Eiffel Tower. He hadn't noticed anything that was going on, more concerned for his own adventure than to focus on others. He was quickly making his way up to the top while Lee was busy doing what he was. Don swung, jumping from bar to bar like a monkey as he would swing about to catch momentum and throw himself higher. His tail whipped in the wind behind him, his sword shone, his eyes glowed and his muscles tensed as he shimmied up to the top. It took less than a minute to get to the top, swinging about till he reached the very tip at the top which he landed on with one foot and merely stood there as he looked out towards the city below. Everything seemed so strange down below and everything looked so small but he could see so far. This night was full of opportunities as he was ready to do what he could tonight and explore as much as he could. He had to wait at this point, waiting for his boss to get him to work but until then he was free to come and go as he pleased. "This night belongs to Don."

Lee slowly let his red eyes start scanning over the large structure. The neko was nimble, that was one thing that was for sure. Lee watched as he waited for him to stop but it actually seemed that he never would, like there wasn't a off switch. But finally, the cat like man had to come to a halt as the tower finally reached its limit in the sky.

Lee let out a sigh as he moved one hand to the back of his head and rubbed it. He crouched down as he then started off through the air by pushing off the ground as he had to cover the ground now but he still had to keep an eye on the man, that was for sure, in the case of another dash.

Don smiled brightly, slowly he rotated on the tip of the Eiffel Tower as he looked out to the city below with eyes full of wonder. He wondered how things had changed all together in the Human World and how much had remained the same. He remembered there not being so much light all over the place and he was kind of curious about the structure he was standing on. He hadn't been around for quite some time so everything was pretty much a mystery to the Shinigami Neko. "So much to explore! As long as I'm not called back any time soon I can explore it all!" He said, a wide toothy smile on his lips as he flicked his black tail about and soon turned his eyes towards the ground of the tower. Something caught his eye, a black form but he just thought it was a bird so he turned his attention to elsewhere.

Lee continued to rise, further and further up the side of the tower and he took note of the feline turning toward him but just as quickly looking elsewhere. He soon shot up into the air and forced himself to halt as he looked back down and spoke "You just don't like to stop for very long do you..."

Lee brought his hands to his hips as he held them there. It was still something to see the tail and ears on the other male.

Don merely looked about, paying no mind to the shinigami who had made his way up into the air until he finally made himself known by speaking. Don's eyes shifted, turning in Lee's direction before turning his head and grabbing his shades to pull them up onto his hat. He pulled that off, revealing his cat like ears which gently twitched as his tail flicked left and right. "Hmm?" He asked, his green slitted eyes staring down Lee as he slowly shifted to where he had bow legs and placed his hands on the point as he crouched slightly. His tail began to whip around a lot more as his pupils slowly began to grow sharp.

Lee held himself in the air as he looked down onto the man as he withdrew his glasses which he found a bit odd since it was the dead of night. He then watched as he then took his hat from his head and then...not much else came after that. After the silence lingered for a moment or so, he placed his hand onto his chest and spoke

"Is there a reason your...running around like you are?"

Don stowed his hat and green glasses away in his jacket as he remained in his hunched over position as he resembled a greatly a cat ready to strike its prey. "I haven't been here for one hundred and eighty years." He said, his pupils were sharp slits at this point as his tail whipped back and forth and his hands clenched against the tip of the Eiffel Tower. His body noticeably grew tense as he watched Lee, his eyes staring down the man who was in the air. "Why are you here?"

Lee stared at the man as he then started to speak about it being more than a long time since he had come to the world of the living. It was a bit of a surprise to be honest as most of the time, there are a slightly small gap between people who go to the human world and the soul society, at least a few decades. But, some people just didn't find the good in leaving and let others do it for them.

Lee slowly raised his hand up as he started to speak and turned his attention toward the sky"A casual walk to clear my head and what better place than a place where no one can take notice. Well, that was until I saw a unique site." He let his eyes flash back toward the neko shinigami.

Don's eyes grew sharper as Lee spoke as if he was examining the shinigami through and through to make sure he was telling the truth. Though there was always a reason behind what people did and Don already knew that Lee hadn't just randomly shown up. "Come off it... Tell me the truth." He said, staring down the regular shinigami as his fingers gripped the tip of the monument beneath him as his tail swayed left and right. "I'm not as stupid as some people make me out to be."

Lee watched the man as he soon spoke about Lee lying about his reasons and spoke of him not being as truthful as he let on. Lee slowly raised his hand up and then rubbed his forehead as he then took in a deep breath. He then looked off to the side before glancing back toward the neko once more "Well, that really isn't too far from the truth. I am simply waiting for something to happen, either that be an attack or something like...you."

(( Sorry about being slow but I'm really close to graduation so I have been a little busy. I will probably still be like this till Thursday. ))

Don merely eyed the man, he didn't trust strangers and it didn't help that Don could tell that this individual had been following him. The neko shinigami merely glared at him, saying the words something like you made him feel like he wasn't even human. "What do you mean by that?" Don asked, one of his hands slowly moved up, resting in the air as his claymore sword glowed in the moonlight and his pupils seemed to grow sharper. His tail moved about more while his ears swiveled as if listening to everything going on around them. He couldn't help but feel that he didn't really like this guy.

Lee kept himself airborne as he listened to just what it was that the man had to say after his response. He was actually a bit taken back by his response as he rightly did not believe what it was that he had heard. What do you mean by that?, that simple question was just riddled with flaws that he just did not quite understand himself.

He raised his hand out and let a single index finger point toward the head of the man and as he spoke, he let it drift down to his tail and then back and forth between the two. "I mean what is more than blatantly obvious. There are not many feline shinigami mixed individuals just roaming around....anywhere actually."
