    Quincy Bow & Spirit Arrows
All Quincies have the ability to create a unique spirit bow, and subsequently generate spirit arrows for the bow, using a Quincy cross or pentacle. The bow and arrows are both made up completely of reiryoku from the users surroundings, and last as long as the wielder's stamina and reiryoku reserves allow.
Reiryoku Absorption: Unlike Shinigami, who use their inner Reiryoku to fight, the Quincy fuel their abilities by absorbing the Reiryoku of their surroundings in the form of spirit particles. They primarily absorb them from the atmosphere, and have an easier time collecting this energy in environments with higher concentrations of spiritual particles, such as Soul Society or Hueco Mundo. To a sufficiently powerful Quincy, there is no difference between spiritual particles and spiritual energy as a source of power.
Reiryoku Manipulation: one can manipulate spiritual energy for offensive purposes. They most commonly reshapes spiritual particles into various types of bow and arrows, but can also concentrate spiritual energy into the form of swords or explosives.

    Requirements
Above-Average Spiritual Power: A Quincy must have sufficient spirit energy to create a bow, and will not be able to unless their power increases. Uryū Ishida, his father and grandfather are either geniuses or masters in the abilities of the Quincy, so they would not normally have this problem. The Quincy Bangle was created specifically for this purpose, though it does not fully overcome the Quincy's own lack of power.

    Quincy Cross (滅却十字, mekkyaku jūji):
The bow's focal point is the Quincy cross, acting as the focus for a Quincy bow. The cross need not necessarily be in a cross shape, as Ryūken's cross is a pentacle. Uryū's first Quincy cross took the shape of a cross, but his recent one also takes the shape of a pentacle.

    Appearance
Every bow has an appearance unique to it's owner, but seemingly only once they've developed more power. Standard Quincy archers from the past were seen using bows almost identical to Uryū's first bow, as well as his grandfather's. Uryū starts out using his blue energy bow, Lone Sparrow, but as the story progresses gains a new spider-web looking bow, Lone Sparrow on a Silver Cliff. This was caused by his increase in power, not the change in his Quincy cross, as the bow Uryū had using the Quincy Bangle was still similar to his previous while wearing the Sanrei Glove. Ryūken Ishida's bow takes a more physical and metallic appearance, somewhat similar to his son's second bow. Ryūken's father, Sōken Ishida, had a blue spirit bow, similar to Lone Sparrow. So far the youngest Quincy, Uryū Ishida, has had three different bows, but it can be assumed they were only different in appearance since each bow shared the same name; Each bow is a manifestation of the Quincy's power.

    Spirit Arrows
Spirit Arrows are the primary attack used by Quincy. It is basically the same as an arrow, but if the arrows are shot continuously they will eventually injure the wielders hands. The arrows can be created by collecting spiritrons, absorbing spiritual pressure from an opponent or gathering spirit energy, giving the Quincy many ways to form their bow and arrow.

    Marksmanship
When a Quincy becomes more skilled using their Bow & Spirit Arrows, they gain more power and precision with their arrows. This is similar to how a marksman gains skill, and hits the target more frequently. Uryū Ishida has increased his power and skill much throughout the series, and is a prime example of this. In the beginning he shows great accuracy, able to kill hollows instantly using one arrow. During the Soul Society Arc, he fights Jirōbō Ikkanzaka, another projectile user, and easily defeats him. After defeating him, Uryū fires two arrows through his soul chain and soul sleep, to keep him from ever harming anyone again (he attempted to attack Orihime.) This still does not compare to his father, Ryūken Ishida, who can fire two arrows at the same time, killing their targets instantly, one-handed.

Quantity: Currently, Uryū's arrows are smaller in size, but pack the same amount of power as his larger arrows; he can even fire a total of 1,200 arrows in succession without stopping. He can fire hundreds of arrows all at once, which Ichigo Kurosaki compared to "bug spray" after he used it on a swarm of Hollows.

Path Control: When Uryū fought Cirucci Sanderwicci in Las Noches, he was able to curve his arrows' path after firing them, putting stress on the former Espada. This effectively makes the Quincy's spirit arrows miniature heat-seeking missiles, but instead of locking on to heat, they target whatever enemy they have. It is unknown how long Uryū can control the arrow's path, or if there is a limit to how many can be under his control. So far he has only fired 3 simultaneously using this method.

Negation of Attacks: Uryū has used his arrows precisely, to the point where they negate another attack on impact. To do this, he charges the arrows with a sufficient amount of power, and fires them to strike an incoming projectile. He has used Spirit Arrows this way twice: Once against Iceringer's Uña Tirotear attack, and a second time against Cirucci's Golondrina. It was especially useful against Iceringer, since the arrancar could only fire 108 projectiles at once, almost 1/12th the amount of arrows Uryū can fire.

    Seele Schneider

Seele Schneiders (魂を切り裂くもの (ゼーレシュナイダー, Zēreshunaidā; German for "Soul Cutter", Japanese for "That Which Slits the Soul") are sword-like weapons used by the Quincy. The Seele Schneiders Uryū uses are stolen from a secret storage room under Karakura Hospital, and belong to his father, Ryūken Ishida.

    Design
Seele Schneiders were not created solely for the ability to cut through spirit pressure impacts. On impact, the union of spirit particles, in whatever has been cut, loosens. This is merely a tool which makes them easier to steal away. For a Quincy, absorbing spirit particles from the environment to strengthen one's weapon is absolutely imperative, and the Seele Schneider is the strongest embodiment of this process. It's much longer than a standard arrow and functions something like a chainsaw, and the blade is composed entirely of reishi, which are constantly revolving around 3,000,000 times per second. Uryū also stated that using it increased his own spiritual power.

    Powers and Abilities
Reishi Collection: The Seele Schneider's second ability is to collect reishi during combat by absorbing the opponents attacks. the more spiritual pressure and energy they release, the more powerful the Quincy wielding it becomes. It allows an opponents spirit particles to become the user's.
Sword & Arrow Functionality: Since a physical high-speed impact can be destroyed by a spiritual high-speed impact, the Seele Schneider can do more damage to someone physically strong, when they physically attack, than when using a spirit-based attack; as seen in Uryū's fight against Cirucci Sanderwicci. Basically, it cuts through spirit pressure impacts. The Seele Schneider makes for a powerful blade in combat, but can do even more damage as an arrow. Quincy Library 180px-Seele_Schneider2
Fired as an arrow, it was able to defeat a former Espada in one shot, easily piercing her soul chain, removing all of her abilities. Had it been aimed higher, towards the head, it would have undoubtedly been fatal. The lethality of the Seele Schneider at full power depends, not on it's power, but the arrow's trajectory.
    Quincy Library 160px-Seele_Schneider
    Gintō Techniques
Sprenger (破芒陣, shupurenga; German for "Explosion", Japanese for "Ripping Grass Formation"): This technique uses five Seele Schneiders to create a pentagon-shaped seal which, when activated, causes a massive explosion within its borders. The Seele Schneiders function as accumulators, gathering the necessary amount of spirit particles to create the explosion, with the liquid inside a Gintō acts as the trigger.

But there's also a potentially-fatal drawback. The preparations needed to successfully execute this technique, combined with the charging time for the Seele Schneiders, make Sprenger's use in battle impractical unless the user has a partner that can stall their opponent in order to buy time. It is one of the most powerful Quincy attacks seen so far. Quincy Library 180px-WOW

    Quincy Combat
The Quincy can also use the energy they gather, or use silver tubes filled with spiritual energy (see below), to perform various offensive, supportive, and defensive techniques similar to the Shinigami Kidō.
A Quincy's power can be significantly enhanced using the Sanrei (散霊) glove. A Quincy needs to complete a week of intense training in order to be able to use the glove. The glove operates by repelling spirit particles, making it far more difficult for the Quincy to summon their bow. Any Quincy who is able to successfully utilize their powers while wearing the glove can thus reach much higher levels of power. This training is also the basis for the Quincy final form.
A Quincy who wears the Sanrei glove may remove it in desperate cases, entering a state known as the:
Quincy Final Form: The Quincy Final Form gives the user a tremendous amount of power, but at the price of their powers upon it's completion

The only way for a Quincy to regain their powers after using the final form is to first exhaust themselves both mentally and physically, then be hit exactly 19 mm to the right of their heart with a spirit arrow. After this, a pentacle-shaped scar will form on the point of impact, and their powers will be restored.

    Quincy items
The Quincy possess numerous artifacts and equipment which help them in different ways. Below are the ones that have been shown:
Hollow bait — This item is a small, coin-shaped disk that attracts hollows when crushed. When used by Uryū, the bait, in combination with Ichigo's powerful spiritual pressure, was able to draw a Gillian-class Menos out of Hueco Mundo.

    Quincy bangle (装身具, sōshingu)
Introduced in the anime's Bount arc, the Quincy Bangle is an artifact designed to mimic a Quincy's natural powers. It works by drawing in spirit particles from the environment, much like a Quincy does regularly. It can only be used properly by those who are already adept at forming and directing spirit particles.
Quincy cross (滅却十字, mekkyaku jūji) — Standard equipment for any Quincy, the Quincy Cross acts as the focus for a Quincy bow. The cross need not necessarily be in a cross shape, as Ryūken's cross is a pentacle.

    Sanrei Glove (散霊手套, sanrei shutō)
The sanrei glove is a powerful Quincy artifact that can increase a Quincy's power exponentially, but requires a dangerous and exhausting type of resistance training (wearing it for a week while constantly firing spiritual arrows) to master. The glove works by scattering the spirit particles in the surrounding area, making it much harder to form a working bow. If a Quincy can summon a bow and use it for the required amount of time, they will have undergone a massive increase in power. When removed, however, the glove will release the user's energy all at once - first transforming them into a being of tremendous strength, the Quincy Final Form, and then forcing their Quincy powers to gutter out completely.
Seele Schneider (魂を切り裂くもの(ゼーレシュナイダー), kon wo kirisaku mono; lit. that which slits the soul; German for "soul cutter")
    Main article: Seele Schneider
The Seele Schneider is a thin sword that can be fired similarly to an arrow. It's much longer than a standard arrow and functions something like a chainsaw: the spirit particles of its blade vibrate at ultra-high frequencies, loosening the molecular bonds between any spirit matter it cuts so that the Quincy user may easily absorb the freed spirit particles. Uryū also stated that using it increased his spiritual power. The Seele Schneiders Uryū uses are stolen from a secret storage room under Karakura hospital.

    Silver tubes (銀筒, Gintō)
Silver tubes are small liquid-filled capsules that store spiritual energy, and are used by Quincy for spellcasting in the same way that Shinigami use kidō. Like kidō, they are activated by calling out various commands.
Soul-synthesized silver (霊化銀, reika gin) — Soul-synthesized silver was used by Ryūken Ishida to construct the hidden chamber in which Uryū trains.
Soul-synthesized glass (霊化硝子, reika gurasu) — Like soul-synthesized silver, soul-synthesized glass was used to construct the hidden chamber in the Karakura Hospital.

    Quincy Techniques
To go with their bow, the Quincy have a number of special techniques to give them an edge in combat:
Hirenkyaku (飛廉脚; lit. "flying screen step/god step")
    Main article: Hirenkyaku
Analogous to the Shinigami Flash Steps or the Arrancar Sonído, the Quincy Hirenkyaku allows the user to move quickly over short distances; according to Uryū Ishida it is faster than flash steps, though Mayuri Kurotsuchi's superior speed suggests that this is just a generalization. To perform the technique, the user gathers spiritual particles under their feet and rides them to the desired location. Like the air-walking skill displayed by most Arrancar and Shinigami, it can also be used to hover or fly for long distances. Mayuri compliments Uryū on being able to use this technique at such a young age, suggesting that it is difficult to master.
Ransōtengai (乱装天傀; lit. "heavenly wild puppet suit", "disheveled paradise puppet" in the Viz translation) — this is a high level technique that allows the user to control their body parts using strings of spirit energy controlled by their brain, forming lines or strings out of countless spiritrons. By using this technique, the user can control their body as one would a puppet, allowing them to move freely despite paralysis, broken limbs, or any other force that would impede normal movement. It was originally created to allow elderly Quincy to fight effectively, and is rare enough that Mayuri had never encountered a Quincy (out of the 2661 that he examined or studied) who could use it before Uryū.
Dislocated joints and broken bones are meaningless against this technique. Mayuri stated it as "the most powerful technique for the Quincy," but he did not know of the Quincy Final Form, which means as far as Mayuri knew it was the strongest.

The Quincy are often portrayed as opposites to Shinigami; They even have a Quincy equivalent technique or trait for most abilities Shinigami have: Gintō/Kidō, Bows/Zanpakutō, Hirenkyaku/Shunpo, White/Black clothing and Marksmanship/Swordsmanship. However, Quincy do not have a technique to counter Hakuda (Hand to Hand Combat).

    Quincy Final Form
Quincy: Letzt Stil (滅却師最終形態(クインシー・レツトシュティール), Kuinshī Retsutoshutīru; Japanese for "destruction sage: final form, Quincy", German for "last style", Viz Media Translation, "Letz Stile") is the last resort for a Quincy using the Sanrei Glove. It was first revealed in Chapter 124 by Uryū Ishida. The transformation was elaborated upon during Chapter 125.

Design & Appearance Quincy Library Quincy_Final_Form_in_use
"One will get burned if he wields a flame too great to control. If you take [the Sanrei Glove] off, you will get an immense amount of power for a short while, but after the surge, you will no doubt...Lose all of the Quincy Powers you possess." - Sōken Ishida

By removing the artificial repulsion to spiritual energy that the glove placed on them, the Quincy user will experience an abrupt increase in power as their reishi gathering abilities (which were greatly increased during the Sanrei Glove training) absorb huge amounts of energy, along with a change in appearance. The Quincy gains a more battle-ready form of the standard Quincy attire, with the Sanrei Glove's bow separating from itself and remaining in the users hand, and what appears to be armor covering their left side and arm. This shoulder armor is a silver color, bearing the common blue Quincy cross, while the white clothing area of the outfit contains rows of parallel blue vertical lines. A blue, flame-like, object resembling a quiver of pure reiryoku forms on the Quincy's right shoulder, collecting large amounts of reiryoku, reiatsu and reishi from its surroundings, in essence storing "arrows" or the energy for them.
While in this form, the Quincy will absorb energy from their surroundings at such an alarming rate that they can actually deconstruct spiritual objects, such as buildings in Seireitei.

    Use
In such a state, the Quincy is able to fight with extreme strength and speed, and can completely overwhelm an average Shinigami captain. It could be seen as the Quincy equivalent to bankai, however this is incorrect; The Quincy Final Form is definitely more powerful (though to what extent is unknown,) and can only be used once as a last resort, whereas a Shinigami's bankai can be summoned whenever necessary. Uryū Ishida used this form against Mayuri Kurotsuchi after being pushed to his limit. A regular arrow shot in this form was able to injure the captain to an extent, but angered him to the point of revealing his Bankai. Uryū warned him beforehand the next arrow would be three times more powerful, but was halted and surprised by his bankai release. Slowly being affected by the poison in his body, Uryū charged his bow, and fired an incredibly powerful spirit arrow. This arrow was powerful enough to cut Konjiki Ashisogi Jizō completely in half and leave a huge hole in Mayuri's body that destroyed most of his organs. Or, at least, where his organs should have been.

Spirit Arrow Augmentation: The power of the users' arrows are drastically increased; a standard arrow was enough to push a Captain, Mayuri Kurotsuchi, into releasing his Bankai. A charged arrow, arguably at full power, was enough to cut Mayuri's Konjiki Ashisogi Jizō completely in half, and continue traveling until it pierced a huge hole into his chest; even then the arrow still had enough power left over to cause large scale damage to the structures in Sereitei.

Reishi Dominance: As stated by Kurotsuchi, Uryū was no longer using collection of spiritrons, but "dominance" over them. Using the Final Form, a Quincy can go past his mortal limits and break down spiritual structures, such as buildings, for their own power.

Vast Spiritual Power: After the Final Form is released, the Quincy is engulfed in a tremendous and powerful blue aura, which is actually their reiatsu being released. Mayuri was shocked at how Uryū's Spiritual Pressure "inflated."

Hirenkyaku Augmentation: The Flying Screen Step technique is much faster, allowing Uryū to get a shot on Captain Kurotsuchi with relative ease. Using Hirenkyaku in conjunction with their augmented arrows, a Quincy in their Final Form becomes a deadly opponent to all but the most powerful opponents/threats, as they are now at least stronger than a captain.

    Drawbacks
The final form is a double-edged sword, as no human body is capable of handling the immense power that this form provides. After a short period of use, the Quincy's body will forcibly seal itself off from all spiritual power as a measure of self-preservation, effectively robbing the Quincy of their abilities. The final form is only used as a last resort because, even though it is possible to regain Quincy powers afterward, the process is exceedingly dangerous. As of yet, there appears to be no way to invoke the Quincy Final Form again after it has been used once. Though, theoretically, it could be possible if they use another Sanrei Glove; but, for obvious reasons, this would be very-inadvisable. Sanrei Glove Quincy Library 190px-Sanrei_Glove
The Sanrei Glove (散霊手套, sanrei shutō) is a powerful Quincy item. It was given to Uryū Ishida, by his grandfather and teacher, Sōken Ishida.

    Training Usage
A Quincy's power can be significantly enhanced using the Sanrei Glove.
First of all, the glove operates by repelling spirit particles, making it far more difficult for the Quincy to summon their bow. The first step is to simply create the bow.
Next, a Quincy needs to complete a week of intense training in order to be able to use the glove effectively. This is a difficult task, as the user must keep their bow from dissipating, while simultaneously firing arrows as frequently as possible; Even without the glove on such a feat would be taxing on the wielder, and it eventually causes some injury to the his/her hands by the end of the week.
After the week of endurance training, any Quincy who is able to successfully utilize their powers while wearing the glove can thus reach much higher levels of power, as they are now far more skilled at collecting Reishi. His/her power, speed and stamina have now all been augmented, to a degree which is at least equal to a higher seated Shinigami officer (3rd-6th seat.)
Sōken Ishida even referred to the mastery of the Sanrei Glove as the "peak of Quincy power." This training is also the basis for the Quincy Final Form, which may have been what Sōken was referring to.

    Bestowed Abilities
Enhanced Quincy Bow & Spirit Arrows
    Enhanced Hirenkyaku
Quincy Final Form (One Use Only, and removes all of the Quincy's powers afterward.)

    Removing the Glove
It is possible to remove the Sanrei Glove, but this is done only as a last resort, when the user is facing an opponent beyond their current level of strength. It was only shown once during Uryū Ishida's fight against Mayuri Kurotsuchi. The glove completely dissipates after removal, since the user is going beyond their limits as a Quincy. The glove should be removed only in the most desperate of situations, or to protect one's pride of the Quincy. After it is removed one can never use their Quincy powers again, unless they are aided by another Quincy (see below.) The Sanrei Glove is the only known way a Quincy can gain access to the powerful Quincy final Form.

    Recovery
The only way for a Quincy to regain their powers after using the final form is to first exhaust themselves both mentally and physically, then be hit exactly 19 mm to the right of their heart with a spirit arrow. After this, a pentacle-shaped scar will form on the point of impact, and their powers will be restored

    Gintō
Silver tubes (銀筒, gintō) are small silver cylinder capsules that store spiritual energy in a liquid form, and are used by Quincy for spellcasting in the same way that Shinigami use Kidō.
Like Kidō, they are activated by calling out various commands.
