Shinigami Name: Akegata Kireme Gender: Male Age: Unknown, 1000+ Division: Rogue, Ex-0th Division Rank: Unknown, Previous Royal Guard Residence: World of the Living Appearance: Personality: Akegata is quite the interesting individual personality wise. Point blank he is generally a very unemotinal person: cruel, cold, and ruthless. He is a very proud character, holding his fighting skills in high regard, albeit for a good reason. He deems most others as below himself, showing little to no respect or even acknowledgment of their abilities. Despite his pride he can keep a cool head when taunted. Because of his pride , he plans out his moves decisively, leading to grand schemes and intricately detailed plans. However while he is proud, he doesn't have an ego, openingly stating how much better he is than most people. He relies on fear to keep his minions in line. Although he is cool-headed and patient in battle, he often becomes irritated with incompetence. He often can also be seen as carefree at times and aloof, probably even lazy. However this is all a clever act to hide how he truly is. Once on the side of good, he abandoned his post as a Royal Guard and fled to the World of the Living. His motives are unknown and his reasons unexplained. Another strong aspect of Akegata's personality is his sense of honour. He is a man of his word, no matter how he may seem. Your Legacy:Character Story: ~The Actual Beginning Being much older than most Shinigami, Akegata's original story as a human dates far back in human history. When born, he was the illegitimate of a xiaolin monk and a woman he had met in his travels. With the woman who gave birth to the child quickly dying after the boy's birth, the monk took the child to bring back to his temple to be raised as a monk. However the journey back was long and dangerous. When the monk finally reached back to his temple, the young baby had suffered from the ailments of the journey. While he grew it showed that the journey had effected hos young body. After many trips to the doctor it seemed to boy wouldn't live to be past the age of 10. His body was weak and wasn't going to grow much past that. As the years went on however, the young boy proved the doctors to be wrong. While he was limited in what he could do he grew and slowly became stronger. Aware of his fate the boy lived his life much like a monk, in peace. He practiced meditation as well as tai-chi and was extremely peaceful and polite. Due to his training he grew to be rather strong. However this good run soon came to an end at the boys 17th birthday. 7 years past his due date, hos body finally had expired and the body died a peaceful death in his sleep. ~Moving On~ Soon after his death the boy awakened. He didn't feel a thing and he wondered why something felt out of place. He explored the temple and noticed his movement was limited. When he returnd to his room, he saw his body, and immediately realized he was dead. His strong spiritual energy made him in an spiritually aware plus and he was noticed by another spirit sensing human in the temple. The monk who sensed him told him that now that he was dead, he was off to accomplish better things. Soon after that a Shinigami arrived and transferred the boy's spirit to the Soul Society. ~Earlier Years in the Soul Society~ The boy upon arrival forgot his human life and took on the name, Akegata. Akegata started off his time in the Soul Society in one of the lowest Districts in the Rugonkai. His family was poor and had to defend itself from the constant theft going around in his particular district. Because of these harsh conditions, Akegata developed a strong sense of justice at a young age and it became his dream to becomes a spirit reaper. He practiced fighting with a sword with a broken piece of bamboo he had found one day and it wasnt long before he was recruited into the Soul Academy. However it wasnt because of him practicing, the shinigami could sense this boys potencial spiritual pressure. It was massive and they knew under the proper training, hed be a fine shinigami within the Seireitei one day. ~Soul Academy~ Akegata entered the Soul Academy and started off as top of his class in terms of fighting with a zanpaktou, as well as hakuda. Because of his drive to be a shinigami, he studied hard at the principles of being a Soul Reaper and mastered everything he could as soon as he entered the academy. Within a few short months, his skill at fighting with a sword, hakuda, and shunpo and advanced to that of a seated officer. Kidou however took a bit longer for him to grasp due to the fact that for some reason he was unable to unlock his full reaitsu. However the longer and harder Akegata worked on it, the more and more he unlocked his full potencial and finally mastered Kidou. At this point the Shinigami began to notice that this boy was stronger than they imagined, perhaps even too strong for his own good. Akegata soon had a dream where he spoke with an old man, or so it seemed. The man was constantly changing in age and when Akegata woke up from the strange dream, he had discovered his zanpaktou as well as its name. About 2 years had past and Akegata graduated at the top of his class, mastering all forms of Shinigami combat. He was assigned to the 6th Division as the 5th seat. ~Rising up in the 6th Division~ Soon after the realization of the name of his zanpaktou, Akegata's strength grew immense. His spiritually pressure was stronger and denser than ever before, matching that of seated officers only after he graduated from the academy. As a result of this he was placed into the 6th, part of the police and disciplinary unit. This was done so that the boy could gain experience in the field right away, but also so that he could have an eye on him at all times. The captain of the 6th Division noticed his strength at an early age and although Akegata didn't quite understand his powers just yet, his skill without his sword's ability made him 4th seat material. He sparred the 4th seat of the 6th Division and took his spot, ending the fight before he even had to release his zanpaktou. Soon after this Akegata joined the Blacks Ops under the direction of the 2nd Division Captain. Under the supervision and training of these two captains, Akegata became much stronger as well as faster. He was transferred to the 2nd division and from his sheer skill in zanjutsu and hakuda he was promoted to Captain. This all occured only a few years after his graduation. ~Ranks of a Captain~ Akegata was a unique captain. He was extremely young and still was only learning about his Shikai. This put a lot of pressure on him as well as made him quite the popular individual. People were curious as to how h was so young, so under-developed, and yet so powerful. However Akegata over the years was slowly understanding what he sword was capable of and its abilities. Due to his immense spiritual pressure, Akegata learned that why it took so long for him to achieve Shikai, was because once he had unlocked it, it was permanently active. His spiritual pressure was massive and thus his sword never reverted back. His zanpaktou changed into a ringed staff which became his new weapon. Because of the permanent Shikai, his physical prowess was pushed even higher. Using his Shikai's ability of distance bending, Akegata was one of the fastest and stealthiest shinigami within the Seireitei and served as the ideal captain of the 2nd Division. He completely countless missions for the Soul Society and even the Omitsukidou. Captains noticed this young captain's strength and they realized someday he would serve as either one of the strongest captains out there or a new Captain Commander. ~A New Commander~ Several centuries had past and Akegata had honed all of his skills and mastered each one. He attaind his Bankai during this time and became stronger than ever. It wasnt long before the Captain Commander has past and he was promoted to the New Captain Commander. He served in this position for one century before he was called by the royal court to serve as a member of the 0th Division. Akegata accepted this honour, picked his successor and then left the Soul Society. ~The Royal Guard~ Akegata spent centuries in the royal guard and worked his way up to its highest ranks, serving under the Spirit King directly. During his time here Akegata noticed what had began to occur as the war between shinigami and hollow seemed to become endless. He then noticed that certain humans began to take place in this battle and new races were born, thus the Quincys, Arrancar and Vizards. After noticing this he then realized that after all the time that had past, no one seemed to grow the way he did, no one seemed to become a challenge. His curiosity led him to head towards Hueco Mundo to see what had become of the Hollows and their evolved forms. ~Betrayal~ Now in Hueco Mundo, Akegata explored the land, seeing the Hollows in all their shapes and forms. He explored the depths of the land and ended up in an extremely dark and dangerous place within the land. He was ambushed by several powerfu Vasto Lorde class hollows, that seemed to be emitting a strange energy. A fight began and Akegata swiftly defeated this foes with seemingly little trouble. However something had happened. The strange energy that the Vasto Lorde hollow emitted slowly made it's way to Akegata, attacking his soul. Akegata returned to the Spirit King and slowly a transformation took place. He wasn't Hollowfied, however his soul was corrupted. He soon began to wonder why he should serve a King that so desperately needed a Guard to defend him. He wondered why he needed to remain in the Kingdom at the will of another man. He decided that this wasn't for him, that he had ascended past this and it was time he departed. Soon Akegata slowly began to seperate himself from the Spirit King and when the time was right he departed from the realm, appearing in the Soul Society. Once there, he stole a reaitsu hiding cloak and a gigai, then returned to the world of the living. Akegata lived in the human realm for several centuries, amassing a wide fortune and soon he began to influence humans. He started to aid humans in becoming spiritually aware for an unknown reason. ~Now~ Akegata remains hidden in the Human World, waiting for something to occur... RP Sample: Blood, everywhere...Bodies lifeless on the ground. Two men standing, one covered in a dark robe, seeming completely composed. The other was exhausted, panting, blood dripping from his body. The man covered in the dark robes flicked his wrist and blood flew away from his staff. He then tapped the base of the staff on the ground and the rings on it jingled. The other man seemed frieghtened by all of this, he then screamed, "Why...WHY DID YOU DO ALL OF THIS". The man with the staff was silent a first, looking down and around at the massive bodies that laid around him. He then looked up, his gaze cold, dark, piercing. His ringed purple eyes seemed to stare deep into the man's soul seeing something deep within him. "Why did I do all of this...merely to test something", he responded. "What kind of reason is that?! Most of them couldn't even see you, they were just people, innocent people who had lives and families", the remaining man said right before he fell to his knees crying. The cloaked back walked closer until he stood before the human on his knees. "Yet you saw me do it, you even tried to step in a fight me, even though you knew what could happen to you. You're different, a different breed of human. Because of that you could be useful to me, and as such needed to be tested." "You're evil...", was all the man could say at this point. The cloaked man then simply raised his staff and slightly touched the man on his knees. Immediately after contact the man passed out from exhaustion and fell to the ground. "One could only truly walk on the path of evil if one chooses so for himself. As a human, you'll crave power once you understand..and just like the many before you, you'll seek me out in order to get it.", the man said to the unconcious body before disappearing, as if he were never there in the first place. --- It was a bright day outside and through the glass window of a tall building a man stood outside, drinking a glass of wine. There was soon a knock on the door, "Mr.Shinnyo, you have a phonecall, would you like to take it?", an attorny asked. "In a moment...", the man said. The mysterious man then got up and strenched as he walked to a window and looked outside. "One year has passed...and entire year since humans have become a part of the equation. Soon war will come...", "Mr.Shinnyo" said softly to himself as he turned back and looked at his desk. It also seems that interesting new beings have come into existance..perhaps I can make some interesting allies, after all with the right wordings it might be possible, Akegata thought as he seperated from his Gigai. "You know the drill..look after my affairs..perhaps take that call", he said before going outside. Akegata looked up at the bright sun before putting on the reaitsu surpressing cloak. "Looks like it's time to get stated", Akegata said before disappearing with a quick Shunpo. Your Zanpakuto: Zanpakuto Name: Tenson Jikuu - Descendant God of Space and Time Sealed Appearance: Due to his massive amount of spiritual pressure, Akegata is always in Shikai. Because of this he doesn't possess a katana blade like most Shinigami, but a ringed staff. Zanpakuto Spirit Description: Akegata's zanpaktou spirit takes the shape of a man who is constantly effected by the aging process. He starts off as a baby, then a teenager, to an adult and then an old man. Despite these changes he will always have key features that never change. These features are his hair, eyes and voice. Shikai Shikai Release Phrase: N/A Released Appearance: Seen in the picture above. Other Changes: N/A Bankai Release Phrase: No release phrase, Akegata merely says Bankai Released Appearance: Zanpaktou has no physical changes Other Changes: Since the attacks Akegata use are the same between his Shikai and Bankai, once in Bankai their strength are significantly multiplied and less draining on Akegata. Abilities Name: Astral Projection State: Regular Terms of Usage: This technique doesn't have any terms or conditions to activate, it merely just needs to be activated. Description: Akegata's astral projection grants him the ability to make his body intangible. As a result he is unable to be touched, or effected by matter or anything, allowing for him to walk through solid things, and even engery and reaitsu, making him intangible completely. Because of his mastery of this, Akegata is also capable of only making certain parts of his body astral, keeping it together. Another ability of this form is that if he meditates, he is capable of just sending this form of himself over vast distances to relay messages. While this is also useful in battle it has several downsides. For one Akegata is unable to attack enemies in this form if he's fully intangible. Another downside is that this technique is directly linked to his reaitsu, so if his reaitsu is disturbed, attacked, or blocked out somehow he will immediately return back to his normal state. When used to relay messages, this technique can be used as long as Akegata remains in a meditative state, however if used in battle it can only be used twice for a full astral form and 5 times for a partial, each with a 5 post cool down inbetween. Name: Distance Bending State: Both Terms of Usage: Before this technique is activated to shorten distance, the ring on Akegata's staff will vibrate, releasing a sound. The area of effect is then slightly distorted, making it slightly visable who is within its range. This part requires one post to prepare. To lengthen distance the staff will release a pulse of reaitsu, instantly activating it and leaving the area of effect slightly distorted Description: Distance bending, is Akegata's main ability, bending distance to make it shorter or longer. By bending distance, he can make a mile, an inch, thus making travelling extremely easy for him. So far his maximum potential is bending an inch into a max of 100 miles. This make him seem like his teleporting when he is fighting, travelling distances in instants with no side effects on his body. When attacked, he can make distance longer, making the opponent seem like they are moving slower. However the side affect to this technique is it drains an extremely amount of reaitsu and is directly linked to his reaitsu, so if his reaitsu is limited, sealed or weakening his attack is directly effected. Another weakness to this attack is that once activated, Akegata is also victim to its effects, meaning that the opponent is capable of using the change of distance to their advantage if they understand it. When activated it can be dissolved at Akegata's will, however the max he can use it for is 3 posts before a 10 post cooldown. Name: Spirit Striking State: Regular Terms of Usage: Permanently Active Description: Because Akegata's weapon is a staff it seems impossible for him to be able to severely attack a person. However this is far from due. His staff is as durable as a regular zanpaktou, therfore it won't break in combat like any other zanpaktou wouldn't. Alongside that, his strikes seem to have a different ability. If struck by Akegata's staff one is attacked spirituality. Each individual strike made by Akegata to his opponent's physical body will lower their spiritual pressure, stamina and overall energy. Strikes to the zanpaktou, since it's a direct link to the user will only lower their spiritual pressure. Prolonged strikes and exposure to this attack will lead to exhaustion, little to no reaitsu reserves, and if it continues, death. Name: Spirit Strike State: Shikai Terms of Usage: This attack is seen as a finishing attack for Akegata. His staff will glow golden, and charges for a turn, granting the opponent the only way of foreseeing when the attack is coming. Description: Once charged after the turn, Akegata will strike his opponent. If this attack makes contact, its effects are a much stronger version of the spirit striking. Any individual under a captain class of power will immediately pass out from exhaustion and no reaitsu reserves. Captain class and higher, if strong enough can stay concious, however will have lost almost all of their reaitsu and stamina. If the attack hits a zanpaktou, it weakens the blades strength to the point where it forcers the user to either revert back to their Shikai, or sealed state, depending on the strength of the user. As a result the only way to successful be uneffected by this attack is to dodge it. Once this attack is used, it has a 10 post cooldown. Name: Repel the Beast State: Regular Terms of Usage: Staff glows for a turn before use. Can be used instantly however Description: This attack isn't related to Akegata's zanapktou, however it's an attack he developed over his years fighting. His zanpaktou charges, absorbing Akegata's pure energy and then release it in the form of a shockwave. This attack has no affect on regular shinigami, quincy, or humans. It solely effects entities with traces of Hollow in it, driving them back as well as inflicting damage. Name: Repulse State: Regular Terms of Usage: Staff glows for a turn before use. Can be used instantly however Description: This attack isn't related to Akegata's zanapktou, however it's an attack he developed over his years fighting. His zanpaktou charges, absorbing Akegata's pure energy. When attacked Akegata will then swing his zanpaktou, release the energy to bounce back the attack. Through this attack, Akegata is able to reflect both attacks, usually kidou or energy based. This attack can be strengthened for stronger attacks at the cost of more energy from Akegata, as well as a longer charge time. Name: Purify State: Regular Terms of Usage: Staff glows for a turn before use. Can be used instantly however Description: Akegata stores his reaitsu into his staff over the period of a fight and when needed he can surge that reaitsu back into himself. This technique offers two benefits. The first will be a temporary restoration of reaitsu and stamina, however the more important benefit is the surge of reaitsu acts as a powerful purifying tool to cure or help Akegata fend of unnatural ailments. Advanced Spiritual Awareness and Sensing - Akegata's ability to sense reaitsu and spiritual pressure is on a mastery level. He can tell if an individual is masking their true power and he can tell a persons full potencial just by a mere glance at them. The greatest advantage to this is that he can sense even the faintest of reaitsu, thus even if he isn't able to see something, since almost everything is composed of reaitsu he will be able to sense and track it. Akegata's prowess in this allows him to sense what's occuring in other worlds as well, only things that emit or would signal a significant change in an area's spiritual pressure Kidou Master - Akegata is capable of performing Kidou from Level 1-90 with little trouble or incantation and is also capable of preforming Kidou about level 90. He is also capable of creating his own Kidou. Precognition - After fighting as a shinigami for over 1000 years, Akegata is able to guess the opponents next move fairly accurately by studying the opponents slightly movement before they actually attack. Enchanced Speed, Stamina and Strength - Deceptive to his built, Akegata is extremely strong, being able to fight head on against most opponents. His speed is also at the master level, mastering moves such as Shunpo and even the Black Ops techniques. This is due to his over a millenium's worth of experience as well as a pernamently active Shikai.
